baked onion dip

Sandwicherie has 100 fans on Facebook and it makes me proud. Not the million I'm hoping for, but this still calls for a celebration. And is there a better way to celebrate than with a beautiful, hot and cheesy wine infused caramelized onion and bacon dip?

stuff

•finely diced red onion   •chopped chives   •chopped bacon   •chopped prunes   •chunked blue cheese   •grated cheese   •grated parmesan   •cream cheese   •sour cream   •white wine   •balsamic vinegar   •butter   •baguette
Melt some butter in a skillet. Add diced onion and saute it for a few minutes.
Add some wine and let it evaporate.
Add some balsamic vinegar.
Add bacon.
Add sugar (1 tbsp) and caramelize
for about 15 minutes.
Put together: sour cream, cream cheese, blue cheese, grated cheese, parmesan, prunes, chives and caramelized onion.
Season with pepper and combine.
Place in a baking dish, top with cheese.
Put in the oven for about 20 minutes.
