This warm baguette baked with meat and zucchini ragu really is a real dish. So if you ever happen to sail in Masuria, visit Gi┼╝ycko and order this at 'Szuwarek' bar. You can also use this recipe and make it at home.

Here's the original one.


•500 g ground meat   •one onion   •one leek   •one zucchini   •one carrot   •one parsley root   •3 tsp. dried thyme   •2 tsp. sweet paprika powder   •one can diced tomatoes   •1 tsp. sugar   •1 tsp. oregano   •1/2 tsp. sweet paprika powder   •salt   •pepper   •baby spinach   •rustic baguette
And beer. Around 1/4 cup.
Dice the onion, cut the leek in half moon shapes, slice the zucchini.
Grate carrot and parsley.
Saute onion in an oiled skillet.
Add leek and saute, stirring occasionally.
Add grated carrot and parsley root. Cook until they soften.
Season with sweet paprika and thyme.
Add zucchini.
When zucchini softens, add meat.
Add more paprika and thyme.
Season with salt and pepper.
Pour in some beer. Simmer undercover for 25-30 minutes.
Heat some oil in a saucepan
and add diced tomatoes.
Season with paprika, oregano, sugar,
salt and pepper.
Simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
Prepare the baguette.
Put some ragu on each sandwich.
Top with tomato sauce. Bake at 180C for 15 minutes.
Top with baby spinach.
